I spilled liquid on my computer (water, coffee, juice)

You accidentally spilled water, coffee... on your computer? Then follow the instructions below.

1. First of all, please remove the plug from the computer. Also remember to disconnect any connected device (USB key, headphones...).
2. Take a tissue, preferably in an absorbent material. Gently tap the affected surfaces. Don't make any sudden movements, as this would spread the liquid even further. The goal is to limit the amount going into your machine.
3. Tilt it to one side. This is probably the most important part and may well save your computer if you can do it quickly enough. Be careful, don't shake it too hard, the goal is to go smoothly.
4. The previous step wasn't enough? Turn your computer upside down and try to drip the liquid that is still inside.
5. Please proceed carefully to avoid spreading the product all over the computer.
6. Wait a few hours for everything to dry properly before turning your computer back on. If everything is working properly and no liquid is still present you can use your computer normally.
