What happens at the end of the lease ?

Are you reaching the end of your contract and wondering what will happen to your devices? Here's how Cleaq handles the end of your subscription. 👇


How the Cleaq offer works


Cleaq is first of all a rental offer that aims to limit digital pollution while offering the best working conditions to its customers.

The rental period that we propose is 3 years, as this corresponds to the optimal life cycle of a professional computer. After 36 months, the device is more vulnerable to slowness, update problems or security breaches.

In order to keep you working in good conditions, we take back your old equipment at the end of the contract. From that moment on, you are free to take out a subscription on more recent machines with the same monthly rental fee, or to take out other configurations according to your current needs.

As Cleaq is not a credit institution, we unfortunately cannot offer to buy back your old equipment.

What happens to your old equipment

In order to limit the impact of digital pollution and to fight against overconsumption, Cleaq has developed a process to manage the second life of your devices.

We collect your old equipment and recondition it in France in partner workshops. This point is important: many European computers or smartphones are reconditioned in Asian countries, then sold on Western markets. This involves highly polluting cargo shipments.

Our partners therefore give a second life to your old devices by favouring the professional integration sector (Emmaus Connect, YesYes, Ecodair and Devitech).

Then, these devices are put back on the private market. Thanks to this virtuous circle, you participate in the fight against overconsumption and short-circuit the most polluting phase of a product's life cycle: its manufacture. 80% of the pollution related to an IT device occurs at this time.

Concretely, what will happen ? 


A few months before the end of your contract, our customer care team will contact you to inform you of the end of your contract. We will then arrange for the collection of your old devices (from your office or from your teleworkers). As for the logistical costs that occur during your Cleaq subscription, these will be at our expense, and you will not have to pay anything!

As mentioned above, you will be free to re-subscribe to newer devices and still benefit from Cleaq's services.
